Tyler Olson serves as a financial planner, having entered the field in 2005. He founded Olson Consulting LLC in 2018 to create a space for physicians to collaboratively create their financial plans, optimizing for what they want their life to be about.

In 2021, he founded Advice Residency, an educational program designed to provide medical students and physicians in training with financial advice that addresses the unique challenges of the physician career path. It lives on TikTok and YouTube, and the organization also hosts live semi-annual educational seminars that draw hundreds of attendees.

Tyler was named to the Investopedia’s Top 100 Independent Advisors in 2022 & 2023. He has spoken at dozens of residency and fellowship programs.

Tyler founded Advice Residency  in order to close the gap between medical education and financial education.
