Dr. Maryal Concepcion is a dedicated family physician and Filipinx creator who champions Direct Primary Care (DPC). A graduate of UC Davis and Creighton University, Dr. Concepcion's passion for rural family medicine led her to establish Big Trees MD, the first DPC clinic in Arnold, CA.
Her journey from telemedicine to a brick-and-mortar practice reflects her commitment to community-responsive healthcare. She is a mom to two boys, and her husband, a fellow Family Physician, joined her at their DPC clinic after he lost his job to an employer who chose to go to a non-physician model.
She also hosts of the award-winning podcast "My DPC Story," where she shares her insights on patient-centered care and the DPC model and where her experiences and expertise offer invaluable guidance and reflection for physician entrepreneurs seeking a return to compassionate, patient-focused medicine that is DPC. .
